Royal Doulton The Old Balloon Seller HN 1315

Here is a very vintage item with the 14 code on the base (actual production year is 1940). This balloon seller has lots of character with age crazing on her face, skirt, balloons and base. The crazing can be seen in the larger photos. Rare item and a survivor! Note that the crazing is seen but cannot be felt, it is under the glaze, a common issue with early earthenware (See Larger Photos)
